On October 13, General Administration of QualitySupervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C (AQSIQ)and tandardization Administration of China(SAC) held China Standard Innovation and Contribution Prize awarding Meeting in the Great Hall of the People in celebration of October 14 World Day of Standard,a day for all world standardization workers. Li Meng,Vice Chairman of CPPCC,Li Chuanqing,Party Secretary of CCP Commission of AQSIQ,Shang Yong,Vice Minister of MOST,Liu Pingjun,Director of SAC and Academician Liu Yuanzhang from China Standardization Expert Commission attended the meeting.
　Liu Pingjun, Administrator of SAC stated in his speech that, China Standard Innovation and Contribution Prize is initiated by AQSIQ and SAC with purposes of urging and encouraging innovation for creating an environment in favor of innovation, bringthe mass especially the enterprisespotentiality and creativity into full play, and pushing China`s leading and patented scientific and technological outcomes into the market as well asthe world,which are the targets of standardization development two stages for coming 5-10 years.In the firstly stage,construct an initially shaped system of technical standards that is well-focused incontents,rational in structure and suitable for market in 2010,driving China sitting side by side with medium developed countries in terms of standardization advancement. In the secondly stage, through following 5 years` work after the first stage on basis of the realized achievements, strive forcatchingup with internationaladvancement as toChinaoverall advancement of standards,and reaching international leading advancement as to some technical standards for key areas such as house hold appliance,energy and automobile,etc.in 2015.
　Besides, Administrator Liu Pingjun also announced 12 key safeguarding measures for guarantee of standardization strategy implementation.
